Our story
Building Sydney, one honest project at a time.

VTA Renovations was born from a simple belief: renovations should be fair, transparent, and built to last.
Vuong Vu came to Australia from Vietnam in 2010, bringing decades of trade experience with him. Working in Sydney, he noticed a troubling trend in the renovation industry: customers were being overcharged, given inferior materials, and left with poorly executed work hidden behind walls and paint. Meanwhile, skilled tradespeople were underpaid and undervalued.
Vuong Vu knew there was another way — so in 2014, he founded VTA Renovations to do things differently:
- Fair, upfront pricing — no hidden costs or surprises.
- Quality materials — never cheap substitutes.
- Transparent process — you can inspect the work at every stage.
- Trained, respected workers — paid properly and given real career opportunities.
From humble beginnings doing small jobs for neighbours, VTA Renovations grew through word-of-mouth trust. Bathrooms became kitchens, kitchens became whole-house renovations, and eventually the team took on commercial projects in the heart of Sydney's CBD.
- Over 1,000+ residential renovations completed across Sydney since 2014
- 15+ commercial projects in the Sydney CBD
- Highly rated by homeowners and industry peers
Today, VTA Renovations is more than a building company — it's a community partner. Vuong Vu still holds the same values he learned as a boy on his first job site: build with integrity, treat people fairly, and deliver work that stands the test of time.
If you're looking for honest renovators in Sydney who care about quality and your peace of mind, VTA Renovations is here to help.

Specific sponsorships and community projects will be added here as they're confirmed.
