Every job is covered by your statutory warranties under NSW law — 6 years on major defects and 2 years on other defects. On top of that, VTA provides a written workmanship warranty of 1 to 3 years depending on the job, and we come back and fix our own work, no argument.

Active — HBCF cover held for eligible residential work over $20,000, as required under NSW law.
Statutory warranty
6 years on major defects, 2 years on other defects, under the Home Building Act 1989 (NSW). Applies automatically — it can't be reduced by contract.
VTA workmanship warranty
A written 1–3 year workmanship warranty on top of the statutory warranty, depending on the job.

How to make a claim
- Call 0406 715 229 or email vtarenovation@gmail.com and describe the issue — photos help.
- We respond within one business day and arrange a time to inspect.
- If it's covered, we schedule the fix — no argument, no re-quote.
- If it's outside scope (e.g. new damage, normal wear), we'll explain why and quote separately if you want it fixed.
Why we guarantee our work
Every VTA job is covered by your 6-year statutory warranty under NSW law, plus a written workmanship warranty of 1 to 3 years from us on top, depending on the job. Part of that is what the law requires of a licensed builder in NSW. But the bigger part is simpler: we know what a renovation costs, and we know that money is hard-earned. Nobody should pay for work twice.
So the warranty isn't a formality here — it's a promise that if something isn't right, we come back and make it right. Honest work, excellent service, and a guarantee that stands behind both. That's how we've always run this company.
