Draft — written against the Australian Consumer Law (Competition and Consumer Act 2010, Cth) and the Home Building Act 1989 (NSW), but this is not legal advice and still requires review by a qualified solicitor before this site launches.

Terms of Service

Last updated: [[POLICY_DATE]]

1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of this website, operated by VTA Renovations (ABN 67347661786). They don't cover the terms of any building contract — that's a separate written agreement, prepared under the Home Building Act 1989 (NSW), that you'd sign before any renovation work begins.

2. Website content is general information

Pricing shown on this site (including the rate card) is indicative only, not a quote. Every project is priced individually after a free on-site inspection and confirmed in a fixed, written quote before any work or deposit — see the Pricing page and the Guarantee page for the terms that actually govern a project.

3. Enquiries, quotes and uploads

Submitting an enquiry or the detailed project form doesn't create a contract between you and VTA Renovations. A contract only exists once a written quote is issued and accepted by both parties.

If you upload photos or documents through our forms, you keep ownership of them. You're giving us permission to use them only to assess your project and prepare a quote — not for any other purpose without asking you first.

Please only submit accurate information and content you have the right to share. We can decline to act on an enquiry that appears false, abusive, or submitted in bad faith.

4. Your consumer guarantees

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010, Cth) or the Home Building Act 1989 (NSW), including the statutory warranties described on our Guarantee page. Where the law doesn't allow us to exclude a guarantee, we don't try to — these terms only limit our liability to the extent the law actually permits.

5. Intellectual property

Text, photography and design on this website belong to VTA Renovations unless otherwise noted, and may not be reproduced without permission. Before/after photos of completed work are only published with the client's separate written consent, obtained at the time of the project.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use this website to:

  • Submit false, misleading, or malicious information through our forms
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site or its underlying systems
  • Copy, scrape, or republish site content for a commercial purpose without our written permission

7. Limitation of liability

While we try to keep this website accurate and current, we make no warranty that it's error-free or complete, and — subject always to clause 4 above — we're not liable for decisions made solely on the basis of website content rather than a formal written quote.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes to our services or the law. The version published here at the time you use the site is the one that applies. We'll update the date at the top of this page whenever it changes.

9. If a term turns out to be invalid

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply — only that part is affected.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you agree that the courts of New South Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
