Insurance & Restoration Work
Scope-based
Insurance and restoration work has a layer most renovations don’t: the insurer’s scope of works, the assessor’s sign-off, and a claim process that runs on its own timeline. Getting a builder who understands that process — and documents everything against it — makes the difference between a smooth claim and a drawn-out dispute.
We handle water, fire, storm and impact damage, working to the insurer-approved scope and liaising directly with the assessor when the real extent of damage (found once linings, flooring or cabinetry come out) doesn’t match the original estimate. Every variation is documented and photographed before we proceed, so there’s a clear record if the claim is ever queried.
If emergency make-safe work hasn’t already been done when you contact us, we can arrange it before the full repair is scoped — the priority is stopping further damage first, paperwork second.
FAQ
Do you deal directly with my insurer or assessor?
Yes — we work to the insurer's scope of works and liaise directly with the assessor on variations, so you're not relaying technical detail back and forth yourself.
What if the damage is worse than the original assessment?
It's common with water and storm damage especially — problems hide behind linings and under flooring. We document and photograph any variation to the original scope and get it approved through the proper channel before proceeding.
Can you do emergency make-safe work before the full repair is scoped?
Yes, where it's needed to prevent further damage. Let us know at first contact if make-safe hasn't already been done.
